OASIS OF HOPE CHURCH BHAM

“Transforming the community. Empowering the marginalized. Spreading the love of God.”

Welcome

Welcome to our new church plant in the heart of Northern Jefferson County! We are excited to invite you to join us as we gather to worship and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the lens of Black Liberation Theology.

Our church is Baptist (National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.) with a progressive theology and a mix of contemporary and traditional worship. Led by the Founding Pastor, Rev. Ramone R. Billingsley, our vibrant community is dedicated to addressing our community's challenges and uplifting one another in faith.

We launched our first service on Sunday, October 6, 2024. Our weekly services are one hour on Sundays, 1:30 p.m.--- 2:30 p.m. We meet at 1800 19th St. Ensley (Birmingham, Alabama 35218). Come worship with us! We can't wait to see you there!

The Oasis Vision

Stained Glass Light
At Oasis of Hope Church Bham, we envision developing people, who are both unchurched and churched, into fully functioning and mature disciples of Jesus, going out into our city, and transforming lives.

We envision becoming a church where our people are engaged in community organizing to dismantle the systematic evils of racism and economic injustices, which rob people of their ability to live abundant lives.

We envision helping youth and adults discover their calling, purpose, and mission while empowering them to do what God has called them.

We envision a church campus large enough to house the people God will send us to nurture. Our campus will provide not only space for weekly worship but also, adequate space for an education ministry to mentor youth and adults in preparing for college or trade schools; assistance with GED preparation; training our young people in Black History, law, and politics; providing healthcare for the BIPOC communities including sustainable food options; providing a foodbank and transitional housing; as well as a mental health/counseling center that will provide free or low-cost mental health services to those in need.
